This is the website of David Sellars, writer and traveller.
Outside of work and study, I’m a hopeful fisherman both in, out and on the water, a keen kayaker (as long as there are rods involved) and avid player but mainly watcher of most sports.
Travelling is a serious passion of mine and if I don’t venture to new places often, the walls close in.
In 2002 I travelled from Jersey to St Malo and then overland to Turkey through many Eastern European cities by bus and train and then onwards to India, Nepal and South-East Asia.
In 2007 I visited Australia for the first time and spend 5 weeks driving around Western Australia visiting Esperance, Margaret River, Busselton, Perth, Kilbarri and Coral Bay amongst others. The trip concluded with a week in Sydney before heading home.
More recently I've been heading west and to Mexico, Belize, Cuba and Florida.
This summer I'll be spending a month in SE Asia.
I enjoy good food and drink, trying local traditional dishes and visiting restaurants. I’m also pretty adventurous in the kitchen.
My recent reading list includes Under The Dome, The Girl With All The Gifts and Let Me In.
